Noah was allowed to
escape the wrath of God because of the ark that was provided by God. We have
been provided an ark as well. His name is Jesus Christ. Noah was found to be
righteous in God’s sight. Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord (Gen 6:8).
Gen 6:9 says Noah was a righteous man. Why was he righteous? Was he sinless? No,
he was not. God said there has been only one sinless man. His name is Jesus.
(Heb 4:15) (1 John 1:8-1-10)
Romans 3:23 says, “For all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Therefore, Noah was not sinless.
Yet he found favor with God. We have found favor with God through our
proclamation of Jesus as the Son of God. Noah was declared righteous by God
because of his heart for God. Believers have been declared righteous by their
declaration that Jesus is Lord!
As I board these magnificent flying machines, I am reminded of the
majesty of God and the arrogance of man. We fly in a machine and proclaim that
we can defy gravity. The actuality is that we cannot defy gravity. We can follow
the laws of nature installed by God and propel an
otherwise un-flyable plane across the skies. If the turbines in the plane
stop, the law of gravity will take over.
This book is to remind us of the freedom in which He gives His children
every day. This freedom can and does defy the laws of nature because God has
promised the believer he or she can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit
supplied to each believer according to His will. It uses those “vessels” that
are willing to allow the freedom of God to work through him or her.
